great access to river, parks, and city attractions
May and her husband made me feel at home with their warm hospitality and delicious breakfast, while the hotel's fantastic location allowed me to easily explore the beautiful River Ness and the charming Victorian Market just a short walk away.

Charming decor adds warmth to the space. Easy access to the city center for dining and sightseeing. Clean rooms with comfortable beds.
Radiator malfunction led to a lesser warm experience, with a space heater that struggled in the cold. The bathroom setup with separate taps for hot and cold water is awkward for handwashing. Very thin walls made shower noises from adjacent rooms hard to ignore, especially at night.

the hairdryer in my room didn’t even have any power, which is just unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. also, the mismatched taps made washing my hands a true ordeal. almost left a glowing review, but wow, the lack of even a complimentary water bottle was absolutely disheartening. highly disappointed with my experience.

Exceptionally warm hospitality made our stay enjoyable.
I was frustrated by the lack of soundproofing, which made it impossible to sleep through the noise from the adjoining room. There were glaring issues with the bathroom sink setup, requiring a frustrating dance between two separate taps to manage hot and cold water. To top it off, I found the pillows uncomfortably flat, depriving me of a good night's sleep.

The brekkie was top-notch, with fresh eggs making my mornings lekker. Got some good recommendations for local spots from Roz—she’s a total chommie! Plus, the room was spacious and perfectly clean, couldn't ask for more!
A bit of street noise in the mornings could be heard sometimes.
